Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American TV chef personality. She also was an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and an energised persona on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, reveals an easy and straightforward cooking techniques that are suitable for the home cook. Chef Burrell has worked in many of the best eateries in New York, studied the cuisine and culture of Italy, and battled on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Burrell, who grew up in New York State's Upstate, began to develop a passion for cooking. Her passion was for working in the restaurant business by enrolment at The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. The Culinary Institute of America was an amazing experience for me. It was hard to study and do enough or put in the hours. When I graduated of the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and Chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy studying and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant located in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian tradition and philosophy, and has made an impact on her own food and culinary experience. Burrell is a well-known ambassador of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which assists children with obstacles. In her capacity as a speaker, Burrell travels across the nation to speak about her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field.
