Vinita Nair
In July 2004 she was hired by the station and was able to cover a range of stories. These included an investigation into the killing of Jon Benet Ramsey and the shootings that occurred in Bailey, Colorado. Nair became an ABC News anchor/correspondent in December 2007 for ABC News Now. She was responsible for anchoring news live coverage and also briefings for ABC's digital channels. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now, America This Morning, and ABC's digital network from September 17th, 2008 to February 18, 2011. On both shows she first teamed up with Jeremy Hubbard then later Rob Nelson. Nair announced on Thursday, 17th February 2011, the date for her final night hosting on World News Now would be the 18th of February, Friday. She would also have one final day of work for ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor at KDVR Denver, was her directly succeeding her. World News Now, February 18 was the first of three segments that paid tribute to Nair. Both former and current colleagues appeared in the segments. Her last morning was when Nair treated her staff to breakfast that was delicious.
