Lars entered the military after his school years. He did nine months of basic military service in the Kongelige Livgarde, an infantry regiment that is part of the Danish army. Lars didn't think the military service was right for him, so he decided to look for something different and eventually decided to go into biology. Anette who had been working for the military for one year, returned home from a juggler's class to show him how well she was able to juggle in just three days. Lars was thrilled and wanted to try it. He decided to drop out of college and enrolled to the juggler school as well. In this school, he was taught the art of juggling and fire breathing, along with other skills. He then travelled with two of his classmates through Europe as touring artists, performing in cities such as Paris, Munich and Moscow. Two years later he came to a child's circus, and he learned pantomime as well as street and children's theater.
